OverviewSaiyuki: Journey West is a turn based strategy game based on the Chinese novel "Journey to the West". A monk takes a pilgrimage to India with several unusual traveling companions in order to restore peace to the land.
Somtaw rates this game: 1/5Creative Journey is a mess. Having spent about ten minutes with it, I think they were trying to make something along the lines of Sega's Art Alive! but gave up halfway through.
As an archive piece, it's a fascinating look back, and if you're interested in trying to puzzle out exactly what this was supposed to be, you might find a few minutes of enjoyment.
For anyone else, boot up Mario Paint, or even Kid Pix, and leave this one to the dustbin of history.
